Location One is excited to host Open Call, a performative critique, by current artist in residency Brina Thurston. Thurston, an emerging artist from New York, has assembled a cast of friends, family and colleagues to re-create the veiled process of selecting art for exhibitions. Submissions for open call have been collected from all over the world and will be presented and juried in front of a live audience Friday May 1st at 8pm. Open Call will be moderated by Joshua Altman from X, the jury of artists and critics will include Monica Abend, Michael Rakosi, Tianna Simon and special guests, with musical accompaniment provided by DJ Private Time.

Based in the Soho arts district of New York, Location One is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering new forms of creative expression and cultural exchange through exhibitions, residencies, performances, public lectures and workshops.
